Long before I picked up a paintbrush, I was a musician — and when the pandemic took away live performance, I found a new home for my creativity in the form of watercolor. Now I chase musicality in my art: a powerful composition, a splash of something unexpected, the balance of harmony and dissonance coming together like a symphony.
I'm a Twin Cities resident and find beauty in the seasons here. Each one makes this place feel like its own world, unrecognizable from the last. My current selection (Winter 25/26) showcases the depth of winter in the Twin Cities. Majestic sunsets; vivid fields of fresh snow; the mute and aching greys of a lake that's been frozen too long; canoes frozen over awaiting their thaw.
